Meet Dr. Andrew Wappett

Welcome to our practice! I'm Dr. Wappett, and I love getting to know our community, one patient at a time. I appreciate each of my patients for who they are and respect each person's opinions and ideas. I know that open communication is key to my job, and always take the time to chat with each patient. I will answer any questions and make sure that everyone is fully aware of their options for care.

Education and Experience

I graduated with a bachelor's degree from Brigham Young University. I then enrolled in dental school at Oregon Health and Science University in Portland, Oregon, and graduated in 2008. After graduation, I worked at the Tanana Chiefs Conference Dental Clinic until 2010, when we opened this practice!

In addition to my formal schooling, I am enthusiastic about pursuing continuing education both on a local and a national level. I feel that it is important to keep current with evolving techniques and material to provide state-of-the-art treatment options for my patients.

As a member of the North Central Dental Society, a local chapter of the Alaska Dental Society, and the American Dental Association (ADA), I routinely participate in meetings that highlight issues that directly affect Fairbanks. I have a strong public health background which has made me a well-rounded practitioner with expertise in a variety of dental disciplines.

My Team

Our dental team consists of knowledgeable and friendly individuals. You'll find a friendly face to greet you at the front desk, and will be guided through your treatment by a qualified assistant. Our hygienists are gentle and thorough when cleaning your teeth. You'll notice consistent and caring attention to each individual patient.

Outside the Office

I truly love living in the Fairbanks area. I was raised here and have lived here all my life, apart from my schooling. My wife and I stay busy chasing around our four children! We can often be seen outside running, dog mushing, or hunting.
